FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Does Intercept fly the approach for me?

No. Intercept sets up the scenario: it programs the flight plan, configures the aircraft, positions it at the selected approach start, and then hands off. From the handoff on, you are the pilot. Intercept does not stay engaged, does not control the aircraft, and does not fly the approach.

What do I need to run it?

Windows, X-Plane 12, and a supported aircraft: the ToLiss A319, A320, A321, A330-900, or A340-600, the Zibo 737-800, the LevelUp 737NG family (-600 to -900ER), or the X-Plane 12 built-in Cessna Citation X (ILS and RNAV, experimental). Intercept runs as a desktop application alongside X-Plane on the same PC.

Do you support STAR arrivals?

Yes, on the ToLiss A319, A320, A321, A330-900 and A340-600, the Zibo 737-800 and the LevelUp 737NG. Pick a STAR and its transition together with the approach. Intercept programs the arrival as filed into the FMC and spawns you on the arrival with the aircraft configured. From there you fly the descent yourself; the in-sim card tells you what to do: descend via the arrival, which altitude to set, and when to start down. STAR arrivals are not offered on the Citation X.

Is it a subscription?

No. Intercept is a one-time purchase. Every feature and every update is included — there are no tiers, no add-ons, and no paid upgrades. When we add capabilities, you get them.

How does the license work?

Your purchase comes with a license key. Enter it once in the app and it activates over the Internet. Your license runs on one machine at a time, and you can move it between your machines whenever you like.

I replaced my PC. How do I move my license?

Use the deactivate button in the app on the old machine, then activate on the new one — it takes a minute and you can do it yourself anytime. If the old machine is gone or won't start, email support and we'll release the old activation for you.

Does it work offline?

Yes, for normal use. Intercept periodically confirms your license and checks for updates when you're online; a recent successful check keeps everything working while you're offline.

How do updates arrive?

The app checks for updates when it starts and shows a banner when one is available. Nothing installs on its own — you choose when to update by clicking it. Close X-Plane before updating. Updates are free, and installing them is your call unless a release fixes something critical.

Where's the user manual?

Read or download it here: interceptapproach.com/manual/Intercept-User-Manual.pdf. It's also worth skimming the Known limitations section before your first flight.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Email support@kb1slnlabs.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund the full price to your original payment method. Purchases are sold through Link (Stripe's checkout service), so you can also ask Link support for a refund; either way it usually appears in 5–10 business days. Refunded licenses are deactivated.

Something's broken. How do I get help?

Email support@kb1slnlabs.com with what happened and, if you can, the log file the app points you to. We aim to acknowledge every support email within one to two days. Depending on the issue, the fix itself may need to be queued for a future update or release — we'll tell you honestly which it is.
